President David Rosenthal called meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and welcome everyone.
First time visitors were asked to stand and introduce themselves and tell what they collect.
Minutes from last meeting was available for review. In absence of treasurer, David gave the treasury report.
David thanked club member Francine Fatuzzo for all the work she did with BELK to set up the stamp and coin clinic. Belk also donated a large basket to be raffled at the annual stamp and coin show in February. Francine donated stamp books to the club which will be auctioned and the money will go in the club treasury.
David asked for donates of foreign coins for the Boy Scouts. Michael Nishti announced the club still has t-shirts available.
Great night for show and tell. Max Wolf gave an excellent talk on how to grade coins. Ed wolf gave a presentation on medals. David talked about Cuba postcards.
Boy Scout troop #492 of Bunnell came to meeting tonight for the first class on stamps collecting. Club members Philip Allegrante and Phil Schwartz held the class; many thanks to both gentlemen. We have been invited to their meetings to continue with their merit badges. The club would like to thank Laurence Hernandez for his extreme generosity towards the boy scouts; each boy received an album with plenty of stamps to get them started.
David thanks everyone for their contribution, knowledge and helpfulness; we have a great group of members.
