Minutes for January 25, 2011 Our president opened the meeting at 6:00 PM. There were 79 visitors and members attending. There were three new members. Welcome !!! Dave spoke about the upcoming Home show on Jan. 29-30 and and our annual stamp and coin show on Feb. 5th. Dave asked for help on setting up the stamp and coin show on Friday Feb. 4th at 4:00 PM at St. Thomas Episcopal church and to help break down the show at 3:00 PM on Sat. With everyone helping, this should not take more than about 45 minutes. Dave shared an old stamp hinge dispenser from the 1950’s which no one guessed but came very close. A stamp poll for Linn’s Stamp News was distributed and the turned in results will be sent too Linn’s. Our good friend Walter, Manager of the Federal Trust Bank spoke to us for a few minutes. Federal Trust has been a great help to our club. Dean Robinson and Al Sanflippo gave a short talk. Our good friend from Jacksonville, Ray, came and gave a great power point presentation and will return to finish part two in the near future. As a reminder, the 2011 dues of $15.00 is now due. This can be sent to our PO Box at PO BOX 351355, Palm Coast, FL 32135-1355. Please send your dues fast so our club can plan this years activities. Thank you John for your treasurer’s report and Mike for updating us on our shirt program. Only 7 shirts left. Great job Mike. As a reminder to all of our members. This is the last 7 shirts we have and we can not get them in again at this low price. The people that we have worked with are no longer in business. 44 people stayed for the auction and we had two lucky winners of the famous Money Monkey. Two more will be given out at the next auction so stick around and have some fun. Two certificates of appreciation were given out to Robert and Nancy Lineham and to Al and Janice Sanflippo. Thank you Vera, Florian, and Bob for manning the front sign-in table. Let’s not forget Carol Schwartz who handled the 50/50 for our club. Thanks to Bill B., Jean P., Bob K., and Loui A. for donating for the good of the Club it is very much appreciated ! We never Thanked the following members for coming out to help put up and decorate our Christmas Tree.. John De Foe, Carol Schwartz, Lou ,Mike Nishti, Maria Tovar and Isabella John De Foe won the 50/50 Max Wolf and Paul Busse won the vouchers Thank you all for making this a great and fun meeting !!!! We turned off the lights and fans at 9:15 p.m.
