Dave R. calls meeting to order at 6:00. That’s two straight months of on time or early. Someone please notify Dave’s physician, as something is clearly radically wrong with him.

Motion to buy a large banner to be placed outside the Elks Club for our future March shows passes by voice vote.
Bob K. gives Treasurer’s Report. How he keeps money in there with Silvia buying all that candy and cookies is a wonder.
Frankie D. tells us he gives packets of stamps to kids who are waiting with their parents to be served at the main post office. “Here I am.” He says many of them show interest in possibly collecting.
Mike N. reviews his letter sent to Treasury Sec’y Lew re: women on paper money and the fact that we’ve already had one…Martha Washington on the $1. Mike still has the first day cover that he got at the bank when the bills were first issued in 1886. Dave was with him. I know…I’m evil.
One of our visitors says he’s written the Treasury Dept. to protest the future change in the $20 bill. He says Jackson should remain on the front and Harriet Tubman should be on the reverse.
Dave says club gave a presentation to the NARFE retiree group which was well-received.
Ed W. tells members his grandson Max is appearing in “Into the Woods” at Flagler Playhouse.
Rodney F. weighs in with thoughts on our $10 bill. Of course, where Rodney’s from, they have coins called loonies and townie
Jody D. (hey, that’s me!) briefs members on his presentation next month on Old Time Radio history and collecting.
Tom B. picked up some original Pieces of Eight, which he brought with him. He gave a brief history lesson on the coins.
Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Kaiti Lenhart and colleague Linda Constantine (a club member) give short seminar on voting in upcoming primary and later general election. They brought materials, which were distributed to all.
