Dave started the meeting at 6:00 PM. There were 47 members and visitors. This number was low in part to a very heavy rain storm at time of meeting.
After welcoming everyone the members and guests enjoyed Salad Night. Dave thanks everyone who brought items to snack . Special thanks to Lina, Nikie, Joyce & Silvia for setting up the table for this event. This international feast was enjoyed by all.
Thank you to everyone who helped set up and take down the tables. This is always appreciated.
Dave told the members that that the Lifestyle Home Show to be held on Sat. and Sun. January 28th and 29th has been paid. We will be in the same great spot as in the past two years.
Also Dave told everyone the our tables for the 14th Annual stamp and coin show, on March 3 2018, are selling and we expect another sellout for this annual event. If you have not sent in your request for table space, please do so quickly.
Bob K gave us a great treasure’s report.
Cathy G. gave a report on her 2 week trip to and from Cuba on their sailboat. We are all happy to see them back on terra firma and in great health.
The Special Stamp Estate Sale was a great success and was enjoyed by all. This was made possible by the donation of stamp material by Ruth B. whose husband and past member Tom “Georgie” B. passed away almost two years ago.
Thank you to Bob S., Joyce C., Alvin A. Bob K., and Frankie D. for their help with the auction.
Thank you Vera B. for keeping everyone in order and signed in.
Before the break the door prize vouchers were won by # 206 Henry I. and # 253 Allan K.
The 50/50 winners were Kent S. (guest) and Vera B. our official gate keeper.
After a brisk auction the name for the Treasure Box was pulled. If only Frank M. had been there he would have won.
Our speakers for the Jun 26 meeting will be #250 Linda C. and Ray H., from Jacksonville.
The secret word for a door prize voucher for the Jun meeting is VFW.
Minutes submitted by Jane M. Wife of Frank M. who did not win the Treasure Box. So Sad!!
